Shell Virtual Art Interact

Invited by Shell Philippines to take part in an artist panel discussion and conduct an art workshop over Zoom as part of their online art education series: Virtual Art Interact.

I conducted a quick workshop on how to conceptualize ideas for making artwork, especially applicable for client work and competitions, based on a technique I myself learned from watching a class by Roman Muradov on Skillshare. I also gave students a quick workshop on acrylic paint, with tips and tricks to be more environmentally friendly when making art.

The event aimed to engage with and help aspiring artists and art students to continue to create during the Covid-19 Pandemic in 2020, all part of their campaign to promote the 53rd National Students Art Competition held by Shell every year in the Philippines.

The event was held through a Zoom Webinar, hosted by Fringe Manila Director Andrei Pamintuan, with a Panel discussion moderated by Artist and Curator Con Cabrera. I joined artist and previous NSAC winner Leeroy New for the discussion.

The entire stream can be found here.
